Fwd: prayer request

Please read Liz's email about her grandmother and keep her in your prayers.

---------- Forwarded message ---------

Hey guys! Please pray for my granny. She fell Wednesday at the beach and broke her hip. She had surgery Thursday and was doing well but last night she was moved to ICU because her oxygen levels kept going down and her heart rate was rising. She was put on a breathing machine this morning. She is not doing well at all. Please pray for her. They are still in Foley, AL cause that is where she had her surgery. Thanks! Liz

Agape Notice

Folks -- We are getting requests for Agape for the Fall Emmaus Walks.  If you have some or can get us some, that would be wonderful.

Also, I am Agape Coordinator for Young Adult Chrysalis # 64 that will take place at Camp Sumatange the weekend of August 21-23.  Chrysalis is an Emmaus-modeled weekend geared to young adults ages 18-25.  The talks the young people hear are very similar to the Emmaus talks with the exceptions that there is a Single Life and Marriage talk.

We do not have as much Agape sent to camp for the Chrysalis Journeys as we do for Emmaus Walks, and it would be wonderful if we could shower the young men who will be attending this weekend with some of God's amazing love.  Please ask your reunion groups, cluster, and Sunday school classes to send out some Agape.  We need 60 pieces of Agape for Chrysalis, not 80 as we do for Emmaus.

Also, please put Saturday, August 22 on your calendar and come share Candlelight with us.  The turnout for Candlelight for Chrysalis is far, far below that of Emmaus.  Sometimes, we have as few as 40 people show up.  Help us help God put on a wonderful reception for these young men.

If you know of a young man 18-25 who might enjoy the Chrysalis weekend, applications are available at:  www.alabamayac.com

Most of all, please pray for the young men and the team of YAC 64.  It's going to be an incredible weekend, but we have to keep it undergirded with as much pray as we can.

Thanks -- Rita Treutel

Prayer Request

"I need for everyone to put on their prayer chain my very good friend's son.  He has recently had surgery for a brain tumor (it is not malignant); however, it was on his brain stem.  They could not get it all removed on the 1st surgery  (he will have to have a 2nd surgery) and he is now having complications from leaking fluid and infection.
Becky is a member of our Emmaus community and we need prayers for Bo and his family.

Thank You!
Your Friend in Christ

Sandra Pankey"

Good News and Bad News

Bad news first: No July meeting...see you in August!

Good news: Kevin and I are expecting another baby.  Please keep us in your prayers.

I hope that each of you will prayerfully consider who will be the leaders of our cluster next year.  Liz and I feel it is our time to step down (after we finish this year), and we hope there is a long line waiting to take our position!

Don't forget the training in August!
