Cluster tonight

I am so sorry that I haven't emailed sooner.  Bill Cofield, cut me a break.  My grandfather has been battling cancer since January of this year.  Early this morning, he went to be with Jesus.  Please forgive me for my lack of correspondence.

 

We will be having cluster tonight, but Liz and I will not be in attendance.  Sally Cofield emailed me, saying that there was barbecue (I believe), so if you want, just bring some fixings.  I hope that you guys have a wonderful meeting tonight! Please keep the Dunn family in your prayers.  I will send a list to Sally Cofield of the refreshment list we are providing.  Please sign up for an item or two or three...

I got this from Vicki Martin yesterday.  Let's keep Vicki in our prayers.

Subject: prayer request

"Tif, i don't seem to have some email addresses that i need to send a prayer request onto.  I have know Amy Crim, Don & Jerry gordon, Brenda Kent, Lisa Cronan and LuAnn for a long time in 'emmaus years'. They know of this situation, but briefly, we lost our business in 2005 and as part of the bankruptcy agreement with the guy that bought us out of bankruptcy, he was going to buy our house. Nothing had been done until I read in the newspaper yesterday that our house and farm was going to auction 6/1.  I start a new job tuesday, have 2 more days to notice to work out at the shelter and now this.  It has caught me off guard even though I thought I'd prepared for it all.  We've got 20 years here, all the stuff, all the animals, what's left of our lives. If you could forward  a prayer request to them, I would appreciate it. Today is starting out as a hard day. Thank you."

Thursday, May 28?

Cluster is upon us once again.  It's also AGAPE TIME!!!  Bring materials to make agape.  Rita, if you have any special requests, let me know, and we'll get those together.

 

Also, Liz and I won't be able to make it due to Blount County graduations.  We have two options:

1) If this is a bad time for many others, we can move it to a different night. (I don't want to cancel because we have a walk coming up.)

2) Carry on without us, and some noble soul will more than adequately fill our void.

 

Anyone who has an opinion, shoot it back to me via email.  I will send an email tomorrow letting you know what the plan is.

Cluster Info

Hey guys!

We had a great meeting on the 23rd.  Thanks to all of you that were able to make it.  We will be meeting again Thursday, May 28.  Same time (6:30), same place (Lester).  I hope to see you all there.

We need AGAPE!!! Please have your reunion groups, Sunday school classes, etc. make some agape.  We need several sets because all of our agape has been used on walks/journeys.  Emmaus Walks need 80 pieces, and Chrysalis Journeys need 60 pieces.  We will be making agape at the next cluster as well.  Our Agape Queen Rita will send me a list of items we need so that each of us can contribute materials to the project.  Rita has been gracious in the past and provided all the materials for us, but she can't always do that for us.  I'll send you an email when I have a list.

Overnight Board meeting coming up to elect LDs for May 2010 - May 2011.

There will be an August training for Emmaus the second weekend in August (at Sumatanga).

Please email me any prayer requests you may have.  I would like to keep the website up-to-date.

I also encourage you to be active in a reunion group.  This is our time for accountability.  I would like to create a master list of reunion groups for pilgrims looking for a group.  Please email me the specifics of your group if you are active in one.  By specifics, I mean name (if you have one), when you meet, who is in the group, and any other pertinent information.  I will compile a list and email it out to our cluster for any looking for a group.

I'll be sending another email out shortly regarding taking a break for Oneonta's walk in June.  I'm asking each cluster member to sign up for one or two items.
