Thank You!

Hello, Oneonta Emmaus Cluster!!!

As Agape Coordinator for YAC 62, I wanted to thank you for all of your generosity this weekend.  Thank you for fulfilling the refreshments lists that we chose.  Thank you for donating items for the journey.  Thank you for delivering items to camp.  Thank you for taking time at Cluster to make Agape.  We had plenty for the weekend and even left some in the Chrysalis Agape room for future journeys.  Thank you for coming and serving.  Thank you for working the journey with Rita.  Thank you for praying during the 72-hour-prayer vigil.  Thank you for coming to candlelight.  I got to meet some of our wonderful cluster that I hadn't met before.  Thank you supporting Rita in her tenure as Lay Director of YAC 62.  I was thrilled to be part of the Oneonta cluster this weekend.  You guys are wonderful.  I hope that when members of our cluster are chosen to work a journey/flight/whatever in the future, we will hold them up and support them like we did this weekend.

We had several girls from the Oneonta area that were on the journey this weekend, but I don't know how many of them will be able to attend cluster this week due to school schedules.  I hope that you will encourage them to come when they are in town, and I hope that you will encourage more young people to attend Chrysalis.

The next Chrysali are as follows:

YAC 63 - May 1-3 - Men
Lay Director - Peter Loveman, tlp@thelovemans.com

YAC 64 - Aug 21-23 - Men
Lay Director - David Hodges, davidehodges3853@hotmail.com

YAC 65 - Oct 30 - Nov 1 - Women
Lay Director - Paulette Clements, joynhim@charter.net

It is my understanding that YAC 63's team is complete but that David is still putting a team together.

The upcoming Emmaus Walks are as follows:

Walk 350 (women) - April 2-5   Lay Director: Judie Beggs

Walk 351 (men) - April 23-26   Lay Director: Jamie Cosby

Walk 352 (women) - May 14-17   Lay Director: Sally Moore

Walk 353 (women) - May 21-24   Lay Director: Becky Willis

Walk 354 (women) - June 11-14   Lay Director: LuAnn Prickett   *****This is our cluster's walk.*****

Please have your reunion groups making Agape for upcoming Emmaus Walks (80 pieces) and Chrysalis Journey (60 pieces).  I know that sometimes we don't do 60 pieces for Chrysalis, but we had 55 in the conference room this weekend, so 60 pieces are needed.

We do have cluster this week, and it is a covered dish meal.  I won't be able to make it, but Liz can more than fill my shoes.  I know that lives are busy right now (mine is), and sometimes it's hard to have time to bring food to the meeting.  Please don't let this hinder you from coming.  We seem to always have plenty, but if you're like my momma ("I won't eat if I didn't bring!"), then come on and join us at 7:00 when the worship and business of it all starts.  Please don't let our busy lives separate us from the wonderful Emmaus Community.  It is so refreshing each month to gather, worship, and remember God's amazing love.

This weekend I heard an amazing song.  I keep being told that it's an old song, but I was only introduced to it this weekend.  The butterflies this weekend sang it to the community, and we sang it before they came up Saturday night.  It's called "Days of Elijah."  Bill Treutel commented that it "killed the music team"; I'm assuming because it's such an energetic song.  I am going to attempt to attach a copy of it I found online if anyone wants to listen to it (it may or may not work).  I hope you enjoy it, and I hope Bill rests from his weekend because I will request this one at the next cluster I'm able to attend.  You can count on it!!

Chrysalis this weekend

If you're available, come to Camp Sumatanga tonight.  Dinner is at 5:00, Jim and Emilie Sims are giving a talk (you could prayer over them in Speaker's Prayer Chapel), and then stick around for Candlelight.  Chrysalis Candlelight turnout is always so much less than Emmaus. We'd love to have you!  7:45 for Candlelight.

Request for help and Information for you

AGAPE FOR YAC 62
If you are active in a reunion group or small group, I am asking for your help in creating or collecting Agape for YAC 62 this weekend. Please let me know how I can get with you to get this from you, or you can deliver it to camp yourself, or you can drop it off at Lester to be brought to camp with the refreshments we volunteered to provide. Please label anything that is dropped off so that it is clearly recognizable.

REFRESHMENTS FOR YAC 62
I have included the list of refreshments below for those of you who volunteered to help. Please drop these items off at Lester's kitchen Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday (before 7:30). Sally Cofield will be bringing these items to camp. Please label anything that is dropped off so that it is clearly recognizable.

CANDLELIGHT FOR YAC 62
Please make every effort to attend the candlelight service this Saturday night. We all remember what a breathtaking joy it was to see Hutto illuminated with smiling faces and flickering candlelight. Chrysalis candlelights tend to be smaller in attendance but just as wonderful an experience. I hope to see you all there.

CLUSTER FOR MARCH
Our regular meeting is next Thursday, March 26. I will be unable to attend due to a Grant Winners' Reception. This will be a covered dish meal that will begin at 6:30 with worship to follow at 7:00. Garth and Liz should be there to take care of necessary business. Our "secret decorator" did a wonderful job with the altar last month, and I was curious if she would be up to the task again this month. Also, if one of my beautiful, humble helpers would make sure we have elements for communion that would be lovely. I hope the turn-out is as wonderful as it was last month. I hate that I won't be able to make it.

WEBSITE INFO
I am updating the website, so please check it out. Let me know of anything you would like added to it; I would really love for this to be utilized more often.
