Emmaus Walk

I wanted to remind everyone that there will be a walk this weekend. I know that prayers are always welcomed, and I encourage you to attend Candlelight this Saturday night if you can. It is such a blessing to get to be on the opposite side.

Don't forget...we also have Cluster next Thursday night!!

I'm so excited!

I know that this isn't the best website we could have. I'm sure my computer geek of a husband could do much, much better, but this is something that serves our purposes and is easy for me to maintain without bothering Kev. What I mean to say is that I have already had several email me that they have checked out the website, and I even had our first blogger/messenger other than myself! I hope this website is a success. Thank you all so much! Brandy, Liz, and I have really enjoyed being a part of such a wonderful cluster this last year!!

Well, here it is...

I searched and thought and thought and searched, and here it is...the Oneonta Emmaus Cluster website. I hope all of you will take the time to explore the features I have added. There is a message board where we can keep conversations going in between meetings. Photos will be added from time to time as I take them at gatherings.

This weekend is Walk #340 at Camp Sumatanga. Candlelight was tonight, and it was as beautiful as ever. As we sat in Hutto having our service, the laughter and applause from the pilgrims swept through the room. It was apparent that they were having a marvelous time. There was a wonderful turnout, as we had two local pilgrims (that I know of) on this walk: Cheryl Salamone and Donna Pabalate. Hutto filled with flickering flames that illuminated the faces of the loving Emmaus Community. It always amazes me how many people take the time out of their Saturday nights to attend this short, yet wonderful service. There were even visitors from Central Arkansas, Memphis, Tennessee, and Northern Georgia. WOW!!

On a side note, Sumatanga had some t-shirts for sale at $5 each. We arrived there too late to browse the selection, but if anyone could tell me how I can get my hands on a "Peace, Love, and Chiggers" t-shirt, I would greatly appreciate it. Several of what I suspected to be team members were wearing these. I would love to have a Sumatanga t-shirt, so if you're in the know, please post a comment or start a message in the message board.

Have a great weekend, and I hope to see you soon!
